When is the best value?

Warwick Tourism’s July 2026 Plaza feature published two recurring discounts: 50% off admission and rentals on Wednesday Family Night, and 50% off admission and rentals for ages 13–19 on Thursday Teen Night. Because promotions can change during a season, verify that the discount is active before relying on it.

What beginners should know

  • The rink is covered, but it is still an open-air facility
  • Helmets and wrist, elbow and knee pads are free while supplies last
  • Saturday has separate afternoon and evening sessions
  • Locker users need to bring their own lock

A first-timer does not need to commit to rollerblades. Traditional roller skates cost less to rent and may feel more stable to some beginners. The rink’s multi-hour blocks also give families more time to settle in than the Plaza’s 10-minute bumper-car rides.

Quick answers

Can I rent skates at City Hall Plaza?

Yes. Roller skates are listed at $8 and rollerblades at $10, each valid for one session.

Is roller skating free for toddlers?

Admission is free for children 5 and under. A rental charge still applies if the child needs skates.

Is the rink indoors?

No. It is a covered outdoor rink, which provides shelter from sun and some rain but does not make the space fully enclosed.
